NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING, SPECIAL MEETING AND INTENT TO ADOPT REGIONAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE
CJERP PLANNING COMMISSION
The Board of Supervisors of Chestnuthill, Jackson, Eldred, Ross and Polk Townships will hold a public hearing, to be immediately followed by special meetings of each Board of Supervisors, on July 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Fire Hall, Route 715, Reeders Pennsylvania for consideration of the following matter:
(a) Adoption of Regional Comprehensive Plan Update for the CJERP Planning Committee.
PUBLIC HEARING
The Public Hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to inform and obtain public comments on the Regional Comprehensive Plan Update.
The Agenda for the Public Hearing will be as follows:
(a) Presentation of the CJERP Regional Comprehensive Plan Update – 2026 by
planning consultant Strategic Solution;
(b) Public Comment and Questions by Members of the Public;
(c) Discussion and or Comment by Township Board of Supervisors.
All interested citizens are invited to ask questions or make comments with regard to the above.

The CJERP Regional Comprehensive Plan Update – 2026, is to lengthy to include in this advertisement, however complete copies of the same are available for review at the Monroe County Planning Commission, 701 Main Street, Suite 405, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, or at the business or business offices of the respective municipalities and may be examined without charge. Copies of the same may be obtained for charge no greater than the cost thereof, during regular business hours. A complete copy has also been provided to the Pocono Record, 511 Lenox Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
The CJERP Regional Comprehensive Plan Update – 2026, updates the CJERP Regional Comprehensive Plan Update of 2015 which was adopted in 2015.
ADOPTION
Each Board of Supervisors shall conduct a special meeting immediately after the conclusion of the Public Hearing, and if there are no substantial amendments to the proposed Comprehensive Plan Update, the Boards of Supervisors may adopt the same by resolution.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Jackson Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing at the Jackson Township Municipal Building, 2162 Route 715, Reeders, Pennsylvania 18352, on August 13, 2026 beginning at 4:00 P.M. The purpose of the hearing is to determine if there is a dangerous structure in violation of Chapter 4, Part 1 of the Jackson Township Code of Ordinances (formerly Ordinance No. 2001-103) on property located at 2169 Sky High Drive, f/k/a 24 Sky High Drive, Bartonsville, Jackson Township, Pennsylvania. The property is owned by Nationstar Mortgage LLC and is further identified as Monroe County Parcel ID # 08.1B.1.1 and Map # 08-6371-04-83-8882.
The Board of Supervisors received a report from its Zoning Officer and Building Inspector that a fire-damaged residential dwelling on the property is in a dangerous condition constituting a nuisance in violation of Chapter 4, Part 1 of the Jackson Township Code. The property owner and all other persons having an interest in the property are hereby given notice of the opportunity to appear before the Board at the above referenced hearing to show cause why the building reported to be a “dangerous building” should not be repaired, vacated or demolished in accordance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 4, Part 1 of the Jackson Township Code.
The Board will conduct the hearing as a local agency hearing under the Local Agency Law, 2 Pa.C.S. §§ 551–555 and 751–754. Testimony will be taken under oath, the parties may present evidence and cross-examine witnesses, the parties may be represented by counsel, and a stenographic record of the hearing will be made.
The public and all interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and to present any relevant evidence in connection with this matter. If any person with a disability wishes to request that special accommodations be made to allow his or her participation, he or she is asked to contact the Township at 570-629-0153, at least one business day in advance to make arrangements.

The Board of Supervisors received a report from its Code Enforcement Officer that single-wide manufactured home dwelling unit and failing accessory structure on the property are in a dangerous condition constituting a nuisance in violation of Chapter 4, Part 1 of the Jackson Township Code. The property owner and all other persons having an interest in the property are hereby given notice of the opportunity to appear before the Board at the above referenced hearing to show cause why each of the buildings reported to be a “dangerous building” should not be repaired, vacated or demolished in accordance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 4, Part 1 of the Jackson Township Code.
