What is CJERP?
CJERP is a planning committee of which includes representatives from Chestnuthill, Jackson, Eldred, Ross, and Polk Townships, and the Monroe County Planning Commission. The planning committee meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building. Regional matters and issues are discussed and recommendations are made in relation to plans that may have a regional impact.
Currently, the Committee is reviewing the Comprehensive Plan in place. The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range policy document. The Comprehensive Plan outlines a 10-year plan for land use, development, housing, transportation, environment, and public services. The current comprehensive plan was adopted in 2015.
Public comment during the CJERP meetings is encouraged.
